OneWorld : Reason why we can't enter initial quantities when creating new items unlike in Netsuite Single instance account

• Unlike in single instance account where there is no location restrictions for transactions, OneWorld contains the following possible restrictions:
• Location restriction against subsidiaries
• Item record restriction against subsidiaries

 

• Hence, if you are already allowed to define the initial quantities on the item record creation where all locations are exposed but eventually decided to limit the item to a specific subsidiary afterwards, you will no longer be able to use the quantity on your item record, nor create succeeding transactions as an attempt to correct this.
  Note: If the item is restricted to a subsidiary, using a different subsidiary on your Inventory Adjustment will not show the item on your list.
