Fixed asset proposal: Missing journal entry line

The journal entry has 5 line items but only 3 lines are available on Fixed Asset Proposal.

Solution:

Possible reasons:

1. The Fixed Asset for the missing lines were already created

To verify:

Go to the Proposal history to check if there are Fixed Asset created from the journal entry

---Navigate to Fixed Assets> Searches> Proposal History

Once you have verified that there is an asset created from the journal entry. You may now check who processed the Asset proposal.

---Open the fixed asset created from Journal entry and check the date of creation on the system note. Ex. 10/18/2011 11:40 pm

---Also note that by design under system note the "Fixed asset" created via proposal will be set by the system.

To view user who generated the Fixed asset we have to check the process log list.

---Navigate to Fixed Assets> Fixed Asset Background Processing> Process log list> Sort it by date

---Look for 10/18/2011 11:40 pm (This date is exactly the same date and time you have on the system notes)> Click on view

---On the Process log click on the number link for the process instance

---User and number of records created will be available

Or

2. The missing lines were rejected on the proposal stage:

To check create a search for Asset proposal with rejected status

---Navigate to Lists> Search> Saved Searches> New

---Select FAM - Asset Proposal

---On the Criteria tab> select Proposal Status = Rejected

---On the Results tab> Add Source Transaction to see the journal entry number
