Custom Form field Missing on Journals even if set to show on the Form

 

1. Transactions > Financial > Make Journal Entries > List > Edit a Journal Entry > Notice that the Custom Form field is missing
2. Click on Customize Form
3. Under Screen Fields > Main Tab > Notice that Custom Form is set to Show and the Display Type is Normal.

This happens if the journal entry was created using a custom form that was later on made inactive and there's no other custom form that is active.

Note: This is only applicable for Journal Entries.
