Customer still Shows Unsubscribed to Subscription Categories after Response is Received to the Opt-In Invitation Email

Considering the following scenarios:

  • There are duplicate entity records that have the same email address.
  • In one of the individual record, Opt-In Invitation Email has been sent:
     
    Edit record > Marketing > Subscription > Send Subscription Email > Opt-In Invitation = T > Send
    .

  • After the Customer confirms, subscription categories still show as unsubscribed.

 
When an entity record has duplicates, the Opt-In Invitation Email has to be sent through mass update:

  1. Log in to NetSuite using a role with permission to perform mass updates.
  2. Navigate to Lists > Mass Update > Mass Updates.
  3. Expand Marketing > Send Subscription Message to Entities > Opt-In Invitation = T.
  4. Under Criteria > add Email is [email address] (Note: [email address] is a place holder for the email address of the entity with duplicate records).
  5. Click Preview to view the records with the same email address.
  6. Click Perform Update to run the mass update or Save to save this mass update for future use.

The solution above works as well if a Customer has a Global Subscription Status = Confirmed Opt-Out to subscribe to new email subscriptions.
