Automated intercompany elimination journal can be edited, although the only field that we can edit using a standard journal entry form is the Memo field. Remember that we can only edit the original automated intercompany elimination journal, and not its reversing entry.
Automated intercompany elimination journal is reversed on the next day, just like the entries made on revaluation for open currency balances. The reversal entry of the automated intercompany elimination journal has information on the Related Records tab. Under the payments sub tab, the original automated intercompany elimination journal is referenced. Once you edit the automated intercompany elimination journal, the information on the Related Records tab of the reversal entry will disappear.
Although the link between the two elimination journals disappear, please note that no journals will be deleted.
