FedEx International Order error when fulfilling sales order

Details:

1. When fulfilling an international FedEx order, user gets this error message upon save:

"The fulfillment cannot be completed.

For international shipments, FedEx requires specific information about the item contents.

For the listed items, please edit the item record and provide values for the specific fields, and retry the fulfillment.

Item 1: Description

Item 2: Description"

2. All other mandatory fields for international orders have been setup correctly on the item records (i.e. Manufacturer, Manufacturer City, Manufacturer State, etc.)

 

To resolve the issue, consider checking the following:

1.    Item record > Sales/Pricing tab > Sales Description field.  The item description entered here auto fills on Sales Order Description column when the item is added.

 2.    If no Description populates on the Item Fulfillment, check the sales order form if it has exposed the Description field.  The Description field must be set to show on the sales order form under Screen Fields tab > Columns sub tab > Show = T for Description, so that it auto fills the description from the item record but can still be overridden on the sales order level.  The Description information on the sales order is then carried over to the Item Fulfillment and cannot be overridden on the fulfillment level.
