Unable to edit the parent subsidiary information because the fields are greyed out

Viewing the subsidiary record of the parent subsidiary in edit mode will not allow users to edit most of the fields on the subsidiary record because the fields are grayed out. To edit the information on the grayed out fields, navigate to Setup > Company > Company Information and perform the changes from the Company Information page.


However, be aware that the following values cannot be changed after you have saved a subsidiary record:

• Subsubsidiary of (the parent subsidiary)
• Elimination
• Currency
• Edition
• Country
