UPS has several Pickup types, listed below:
Daily Pickup - A UPS driver will stop by your location once each day, Monday through Friday, to pick up ground, air, or international shipments. This option is ideal for frequent shippers.
On Call Air – The shipper will arrange on the web for UPS to pick up package(s)
One Time Pickup - The shipper will arrange by phone for UPS to pick up package(s)
Customer Counter - The shipper will pay shipping charges and ship package at a retail location such as The UPS Store™ or UPS Customer Center
Letter Center - The shipper will drop off the package at any location accepting UPS packages
Air Service Center - shipments for transport by "air"

This is set on Setup > Accounting > Shipping > Carrier Registration tab> Click on the UPS Account Number > UPS Pickup Type
