Hide a Field Depending on Role Using Custom Form

The following article showssteps to hide a certain field for specific Role using Customized Form, in thiscase Lead Source field on Customer record.

1. Create new Custom Entity Form under Customization > Forms > Entry Forms.
2. Edit or Customize next to the default Customer Form.
3. Uncheck Form is Preferred.
4. Switch to Fields subtab
5. Uncheck Show next to the Lead Source (it is located in Marketing sublist).
6. Switch to Roles subtab.
7. Check Preferred next to the role that shouldn't see Lead Source field.

The solution above applies to all fields that aren't set as mandatory by system.
