If Multi-Location feature is enable, updating the Preferred Location for an Item record can be done through mass update.
1. Navigate to Lists > Mass Update > Mass Updates.
2. Click General Updates.
3. Under Items, click the type of items to be updated (e.g. Inventory Item).
4. Enter a Title of Action.
5. Set filters under Criteria tab that match all items for update.
6. Under Mass Update Fields tab, check the Apply box for Preferred Location.
7. Select the new preferred location to be assigned to the items.
8. Click Preview. Click the Return To Criteria button to add more filters to the search or uncheck the Apply checkbox for items to be excluded from the mass update.
9. Click Perform Update.
