Link One Case to Another Case > Child Case to Parent Case

To link a case to a parent case, perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & FieldsCRM Fields > New.

2. On the Custom CRM Fields page, set the following:

  • Label = Type a name for the custom CRM field
  • Type = List/Record
  • List/Record= Case
  • Applies To tab = Case

3. Click Save.

4. Navigate to  Lists > Support > Cases > New.

5. Locate the custom field to see a dropdown list where an existing case can be selected.  The selected case from the custom field becomes a hyperlink once the case is saved.

Note: Enhancement 74024 has been filed to have the ability to have a parent child or sub case for cases.
