Transaction Saved Search> Ability to Show Amount Forex (debit) and Amount Forex (Credit)

In the Transaction saved search Results tab, Amount Foreign Currency (Debit) and Amount Foreign Currency (Credit) is not included in the dropdown list.

 

Below are the steps so you can add a column for Amount Foreign Currency (Debit) and Amount Foreign Currency (Credit):

 

1. Navigate to List> Search> Saved Search> New> Transaction

2. Criteria tab: Set Amount = is not 0.00

3. Results tab: in addition to the desired fields you may require add the following:

                       

            Amount (Foreign Currency)

 

Amount Foreign Currency (Debit)

Field                 =          Formula (Currency)

Formula            =          CASE WHEN {amount} > 0 THEN {fxamount} END

Custom Label   =          Amount Foreign Currency (Debit)

 

Amount Foreign Currency (Credit)

                        Field                  =          Formula (Currency)

Function           =          Absolute Amount

Formula            =         CASE WHEN {amount} < 0 THEN {fxamount} END

Custom Label   =          Amount Foreign Currency (Credit)

        

4. Rename the Search Title

5. Hit Save and Run

 

Note: You may also change the Criteria to give greater definition to the transaction search you are creating. (e.g. Journal, Account Type, Name, Date etc.)  Also, if copying and pasting the formula does not work at first, try to copy the formula by typing it in the Formula field instead using your computer's copy and paste function.
