Permission Required for a Role to Delete Funds Transfer

Scenario:

Administrator already granted Custom Role with :

  • Transactions > Transfer Funds = Full
  • List > Bank Account Registers = Full

When Custom Role logins and accesses Transfer Order records, standard Edit button is not available. The Save, Cancel, Reset & Void buttons (in edit mode) will be unavailable. Custom role is unable to delete transfer order record.

Recommendation:

This is an Accounting Design and cannot be overidden by role permissions.

1. To prove this, custom role access record (E.g. Transfer: 1000)
- Notice standard Edit button is not available, thus is unable to have
Save, Cancel, Reset & Void buttons (in edit mode)

2. Look at Transfer: 1000 URL "E.g. https://system.netsuite.com/app/accounting/transactions/transfer.nl?id=1048654&whence= "

3. Add " &e=T " to URL to make it : "E.g. https://system.netsuite.com/app/accounting/transactions/transfer.nl?d=1048654&whence=&e=T "

4. Click enter.

5. User will receive Notice: "This transaction is in a period that has been closed. You may not edit it."
