Quantity On Hand are not reflected using Stock Units assigned to an Item

Quantity On Hand are not reflected using Stock Units assigned to an Item

Quantity On Hand should always be displayed in Stock Units.

If the Quantity On Hand is not converted in Stock Units, check if the assigned Units on the Stock Units field in the Item record is correct.

To illustrate the scenario,

On the Item record:

Units Type = Pieces

Stock Units = Dozen

On the Purchasing/Inventory tab > Locations subtab:

Location A | Quantity On Hand = 240

However, based on the physical count, Quantity On Hand should be 480 Dozens.

This may be due to duplicate Units. To verify,

1) Navigate to Lists > Accounting > Units Of Measure

2) View the Units Type assigned to the Item record

3) Check for Units with the same Name

Using the scenario above, there are two Units with Name = Dozen but with different Conversion Rete (/base).

- On the Item record, the other Units is being selected. Hence, the quantity is converted using that Units.

To resolve, select the correct Units (the sequence on how the Units are displayed on the Item record is similar on the sequence on the Units of Measure created).

To avoid inadvertently selecting the incorrect Units, it may be renamed. Thus, it can easily be identified which Units should be used.

If no duplicate Units listed on the Units Type set on the Item record, please contact Support for further investigation.
