Chinese Characters do not Display in the Printed PDF File when Using a Custom Role

Steps to Reproduce:
 
Log in using an Admin Role
 
1. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms > Click on Edit next to customized form
2. PDF Layout and HTML Layout were setup correctly with Chinese Characters
3. Click on Roles tab and share it to a custom role (e.g. Accountant)
4. View a sales order then click Print
 
Result:  PDF Print out prints with Chinese characters
 
5.  Log in using Accountant role
6.  Print the sales order (same with step 4)
 
Actual Result:  Chinese characters do not show up

Solution:
 
1.  Navigate to Home > Set Preferences > PDF Language set to Chinese (Simplified)
 

• Per Field Level Help - Select a language for the PDF output when you choose to export a report as a PDF.

 
2.  Log in using Accountant role. Home > Set Preferences > PDF Language is set to blank.
3.  Set it to Chinese (Simplified)
4.  Print the sales order
