Quantity Back Ordered on Item Record does not match Inventory Back Order Report.

The most common reason why there is a discrepancy between the Quantity Back Ordered displayed in the item record and Back Ordered value displayed in Inventory Back Order Report is the report includes Sales Orders with no Location assigned.


By design, if users do not select a Location on a Sales Order, the quantity shows under Back Order column. Also, by default, the report filters all Location. Filtering a specific location on the report definitely should match with the item record.
