Unable to Accept Maestro Cards Using WorldPay.

Users may not be able to accept Maestro card payments for the following reasons:

  • A shopper has tried to purchase using a Maestro card issued outside UK. The RBS WorldPay payment service can currently only process Maestro payments using UK issued Maestro cards.
  • A shopper has tried to make a Maestro purchase in a currency other than GBP. The WorldPay payment service can currently only process UK issued Maestro card payments in GBP.
  • User does not have Maestro enabled as a payment method.
  • User uses code in website to bypass the dispatcher (payment method selection) page and submits the wrong value for Maestro cards. Users need to use the "MAES" code rather than "SWIT" code in order details submission. "SWIT" (Switch card) value is no longer supported following the re-branding of Switch cards to Maestro cards in 2007
