Entity Language Does Not Default based on Set Preferences

The default Language set on new Lead, Prospect or Customer on the record is based on your NetSuite Edition. To verify your NetSuite Edition:

1. Click Home button from your dashboard
2. Scroll down at the bottom of your screen and you will see the NetSuite Edition. You should any of the following:
   
   
   • NetSuite (Edition: Canada) - the Default Language is English (CA).
   • NetSuite (Edition: United Kingdom) - the Default Language is English (UK)
   • NetSuite (Edition: Australia) - the Default Language is English (AU)
   • NetSuite (Edition: International) - the Default Language is English (International)
   • NetSuite (Edition: Japan) - the Default Language is Japanese
   • NetSuite (Edition: United States) - the Default Language (U.S.)

Note: An enhancement has been filed under Enhancement 194490 to allow Setup > Company > General Preferences > Language: Add a preference that allows administrator to set which language is to default on a new customer record.
