Edit Department/ Class /Location /Account / Item> Save > Record Already Exists

Scenario:

•        Edit Department/Class /Location /Account / Item > Save without making any changes

Prompt: RecordAlready Exist

 

 

Solution:

•        One or more subsidiaries tagged to the Department/Class /Location /Account / Item record is already inactive

•        Take note of the subsidiaries in the record.

•        Navigate to Setup > Company >Classifications > Subsidiaries

•        Set Show Inactives = True

•        Check which of the subsidiaries tagged to the record are inactive

Option 1:

1.    Edit the subsidiary record to unmark Subsidiary is Inactive onthe subsidiary record

2.   Edit the Department/ Class /Location /Account /Item

3.   Navigate to Setup > Company >Classifications > Subsidiaries

4.   Edit the subsidiary record to mark Subsidiary is Inactive on thesubsidiary record > Save

 

Option 2:

1.  Edit the Department/ Class /Location /Account /Item

2.  Make sure that the inactive subsidiaries are not highlighted or attached to therecord

3.  Save the Department/ Class /Location /Account /Item
