The Customer Link Is not Available under the General Updates in the Mass Updates Window

User navigates to Lists > Mass Updates > General Updates. However, Customer does not show in the list of records that can be mass updated.


To resolve the problem, perform the following steps:


1.    Login using the Administrator role.

2.    Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.

3.    Edit the custom role.

4.    Click the Permissions tab and the Lists subtab.

5.    Change the Access Level of the Customer permission to Full.

6.    Save.


Note: Use the URL link below to perform Customer Mass Update if it is not necessary for the role to have Full permission to Customer records. Having Edit access level will still allow the user to perform the mass update for the customer records but the Customer option will not show under General updates. Note: Ensure the link uses the accounts datacenter. For example: 

Users can just need to look at the URL when they are logged in to know which datacenter their account is hosted.
