Administrator Password Still Expires even if the Password Expiration in Days Field in the General Preferences Is Blank

  • Anyone using theAdministrator role (Role that have full permission, please note that defaultroles that include the View Unencrypted Credit Cards permission includes theAdministrator) or any role with the View Unencrypted Credit Cards permissionmust change his or her NetSuite password at least every ninety (90) days

  • If the number of days set in the Password Expiration in Days field on the General Preferences page (Setup > Company > General Preferences) is less than ninety days, that requirement remains in effect.

  • If this field is blank, user is required to change his or her NetSuite password every ninety (90) days.

  • Since the user has an Administrator role, his password expires even if the Password Expiration in Days field is left blank.

  • Currently editing or customizing the Administrator role to remove the View Unencrypted Credit Cards permission that causes this password expiration is not yet available in Netsuite. NetSuite has an enhancement filed for this Enhancement 65202 - Customize an Admin / Full Access Role.
