Email Alerts are Not Sent on Record Creation if There are Fields Setin the Updated Fields Tab

Updates on records are only considered after the record has been created. If the Saved Search has been set up to trigger the email alert when changes on specific fields (Fields selected in the Updated Fields subtab (Email tab of the search)) are done, then by design only existing records are tracked by the search.
