Enabling SCO > upon saving gets a warning message "Due to the feature(s) enabled in your account, using (SO cash/invoice form) as a scripting template(s) may result in missing data on web order”

1. Navigate to Setup > Site Builder > Set Up Web Site > under Setup tab > enable Scriptable Cart & Checkout
2. Use any of the following standard sales order forms or use any customized sales order forms:
  • Standard Online Sales Order - Invoice (External)
  • Standard Online Sales Order - Cash Sale (External)

On save, a warning message comes up, "Due to the feature(s) enabled in your account, using (Standard Online Order - Cash Sale, Standard Online Order - Invoice) as a scripting template(s) may result in missing data on Web orders..."

This warning message comes up when the following features are enabled in the account:

        ·         Revenue Recognition

·         Revenue Commitments

·         VSOE

·         Gross Profit

The default scripting templates based on external sales order forms do not have the required fields yet for these features. There is a risk of losing certain data if certain features are enabled together with the Scriptable Checkout feature.

To remove the warning message, users can perform either of the following methods:

1) If  Standard Online Order (External type) based forms are used as the templates and do not have any issues with webstore sales orders, ignore the warning message and proceed with the selection.

2) Users can switch to Standard Sales Order (Internal type) based forms to add customized business logic, then use that as the scripting template for webstore.
