User wants to create a saved search for case or email messages that are either Incoming or Outgoing only
To create the search, perform the following steps:
1. Navigate to Lists > Support > Cases.
2. View a Case record.
3. In the Communication tab > Messages subtab, click Customize View.
4. In the Customize Search Results: Message window, click the Criteria tab.
5. In the Standard subtab, add Formula (Text) field.
6. In the Message Search Popup window, set the following:
- Field: Is Incoming
- Formula: {isincoming}
- Formula (Text) set to is = T for Yes (F for No)
7. In the Results tab > columns subtab, add Is Incoming field.
8. Click Save and Run.
Note: Same formula can be used for highlighting.
