Requirements to do this:
- Direct List Editing is Enabled (Setup > Company > Enable Features > Company tab > Data Management section)
- Full Level permission for Cases
To delete multiple cases through Direct List Editing, perform the following steps:
1. Navigate to Lists > Support > Cases.
2. On the Case List Page, make sure that Inline Editing is On.
3. Check the Show Inactives checkbox.
4. Set the View field to Status.
5. Click the Subject field of the first case to delete.
6. Press the CTRL key and click the Subject field of the next case to delete. Do this until all related cases are selected.
7. Hover your mouse over to the Pencil icon, under the New field, then select Delete Record.
Note: Enhancement 80920 has been filed for the ability to delete multiple cases through Mass Delete Feature.
Below are the steps to Mass Delete Transaction Records using Search 's Inline Editing Functionality:
As example, create a Saved Transaction Search for Sales Order.
1. Navigate to Reports > Saved Searches > All Saved Searches > New.
2. Click on Transaction link.
3. Set the following under Criteria Tab > Standard Subtab:
- Type = Sales order
Main Line = T
4. Make sure that 'Memo' is available on the Results Tab > Column Subtab.
- Add Memo
5. Enter a name.
6. Click Save & Run.
7. Turn on Inline Editing by clicking the empty button beside 'OFF'
8. Click on the first line of Memo Column then press 'Shift ' button on your keyboard.
9. Drag the mouse up to the last line of the Memo Column. Memo Column should be highlighted as a result.
10. Mouse over the Quick Add or the small pen and paper icon at the left of the screen. That icon will be showing once you enabled the Inline Editing and if Main Line = T.
11. Select Delete Record.
NOTES:
1. Make sure that Main Line = T under Criteria tab > Standard Subtab in order to use Inline Editing functionality.
2. Memo column should always be included under Results Tab > Column Subtab.
3. Sales Orders to be deleted should have no existing Child Records like Item Fulfillment, Return Authorization, Invoices and etc, otherwise the system will not allow deleting it.
