Receive button is not available on Customer Return Authorization

Question/Problem:

Receive button is not available on Customer Return Authorization.

Answer/Solution:
1. Check the roles first

Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles
Locate the role user want to customize and click Edit
Navigate to Permissions tab > Transactions sub-tab
Return Authorization = Full Access
Receive Returns = Full Access

2. If users have full access to those transactions but still unable see the Receive button, check Advanced Receiving feature.

Navigate to Setup > Company > Enable Features > Transactions > Under Shipping & Receiving section > Advance Receiving box put check mark in the box.

If Advanced Receiving is disabled, the Receive button on the return authorization disappears because the credit memo already receives the return.

If Advanced Receiving is enabled, the Receive button on return authorizations appears. The credit memo for the receivable and the item receipt become separate transactions.

Here are the steps that you need to do:
-Locate the Custom Form field and check if the form used is customized
-In the Customer Return Authorization page, locate the Customize link located on top of the page and click through it so you will be able to customize the page.
-Once you are redirected to the Edit Custom Transaction Form page, navigate to:
Actions tab>Standard Actions subtab. The following setting should be present:
-The box under the Show column for the Receive field should be marked as checked
-The Display As column should be set as Button
