64-Bit ODBC Driver for Windows Setup Instruction

Note: The architecture follows the Operating system installed and not actually the processor architecture. If you have a 64-bit machine running 32 bit Windows, please follow the instructions for 32 bit installation. If you have a 64 bit machine running 64 bit windows, please follow the instructions for 64 bit installation. Likewise, if you intend to use the ODBC connection on a 64 bit application (MS SQL Server x64, MS Access x64), you should have a 64 bit OS and install the 64 bit version of the ODBC driver. Otherwise, if you intend to use the ODBC connection for a 32 bit application, use the 32 bit driver instead.

Setting up the 64-Bit version of the ODBC Driver on a 64-Bit Windows Platform

1.  To Download the 64-bit version of the NetSuite ODBC driver. Please refer to SuiteAnswers article Downloading and Installing the ODBC Driver for Windows (ID: 
38959)

2. Navigate to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC)

3. Create a User and a System DSN following the instructions below:
   - click Add and choose the DataDirect OpenAccess SDK driver and click Finish
   - supply the following information:
     Data Source Name: {user defined}
     OpenAccess Service Host: ODBCSERVER.NETSUITE.COM
     OpenAccess Service Port: 1708
     Encrypted (SSL): checked
     OpenAccess Service Data Source: NetSuite.com


Setting up the 32-Bit version of the ODBC Driver on a 64-Bit Windows Platform

1. Download the 32-Bit version of the NetSuite ODBC driver. The download link is located on the Home tab of your NetSuite account, under the Settings portlet >  Download ODBC Driver
2. Run the installer

3. Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe (assuming you have Windows installed in C:, otherwise you can use "%windir%\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe")

4. Create a System DSN following the instructions below (the installer should automatically create the User DSN, otherwise, create a User DSN as well):
   - click Add and choose the NetSuite ODBC Driver and click Finish
   - supply the following information:
     Data Source Name: {user defined}
     OpenAccess Service Host: ODBCSERVER.NETSUITE.COM
     OpenAccess Service Port: 1708
     Encrypted (SSL): checked
     OpenAccess Service Data Source: NetSuite.com
