Can you track the lot number for a specific serial number?

Lot numbered and Serialized inventory features are not compatible today on the same item record.

 

Can you still turn off bins once it's been turned on?

Yes, it is possible by turning off bins at the item level.

 

Will the new bin features conflict with existing scripts that use the item bins sublist or the transaction bins column?

Yes. The scripts will have to be re-written as the data model has changed.

 

On the detail screen, Bin appears to be mandatory, Is it possible to have a serial number without a Bin, but other serials may have bin?

Yes on the item record you can indicate whether to use bins or not.

 

Now that bins don't need to be specified on the item, is there a way to restrict receiving of items to specific bins?

There is no way to restrict that today. You can try using preferred bins.

 

Do bins still have the restriction that their names cannot contain spaces?

Yes.

 

How do the bins now display on the picking list?

Same as before. There is no change.

 

If there is more than one available in more than one bin does the system use any logic such as a pick priority ranking or oldest lot/serial number first logic?

You can use a saved search for picking--there are no rules at this time.

 

Does it have FIFO or LIFO of picking bins?

We don't allocate according to this currently.

 

Can we see what serial numbers are stored in each bin?

Yes, through the item record or via a saved search.
