Chart of Accounts Import > Update a Child Account using “Account Name” > CSV Response error = “Could not find any records by this name”.

The error Could not find any records by this name is received when we update the Chart of Accounts through CSV Import. The error is received if only the Number is mapped in the Import Assistant field mapping page to reference the ledger account.

The Name of the Parent Account should be included in the CSV Import File. On the Field Mapping page this should be mapped to "Subaccount of" field.

1. CSV Import Template should have the following columns:
-Name = this should contain the Account Name
-Subaccount of = this should contain the Parent Account Name

2. Ensure that the Account Name and the Name of the Parent Account are properly mapped on the Mapping page:

Name = Name
Subaccount of = Subaccount of

Note: In summary, reference the ledger account by using any of the following:
1. Internal ID
2. Account Name
3. Account Name and the Name of the Parent if it is a Child Account
4. External ID if any
