Custom Role Cannot Save Sales Order due to Message: EITF-08-01 Start Date was not set. Please check EITF-08-01 Preference List. Transaction Line will not be committed. after a Line Item Is Added on the Sales Order

User using a custom role is trying to create a sales order. However, after an an item is entered on the transaction line and hit Add button, user got a pop up message EITF-08-01 Start Date was not set. Please check EITF-08-01 Preference List.  Transaction Line will not be committed. and could not proceed to save the order.

 
This is a permission issue and there are three records that are associated with E81:
 
-Multiple Allocation Price
-EITF-08-01 Preferences
-EITF Item Category Formulas
 
User should log in as the administrator and navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types and edit each of the record types. 

Access Type = User Permission List.
Add the role under Permissions tab.
