Unable to change entity on a transaction: The customer you have selected is based in a nexus for which you are required to charge a different kind of tax. Click OK to change the form to one that is applicable for that Nexus

Once a transaction is saved, the entity can only be changed when it is within the same nexus where the original entity belongs to. To illustrate (assuming a US edition NetSuite account with Nexus in Canada):

- Create a Sales Order for a Canadian Customer

* Upon selecting the Canadian Customer, a pop-up will appear stating "The customer you have selected is based in a nexus for which you are required to charge a different kind of tax. Click OK to change the form to one that is applicable for that Nexus."

- Proceed in completing the Sales Order and once done, save it

- Edit the Sales Order and change the Canadian Customer to another Canadian Customer

Result: The new Canadian Customer would "stick"; the new selection will be retained.

- Edit the Sales Order again but this time; change the Canadian Customer to a US Customer

* The following prompt would appear again: "The customer you have selected is based in a nexus for which you are required to charge a different kind of tax. Click OK to change the form to one that is applicable for that Nexus."

Result: Even if you click OK on the pop-up message, the new US Customer would not "stick"; the Canadian Customer would be retained.
