Create a Saved Search to Expose the Revenue Recognition Journal Entries that has a Different Period from the Revenue Recognition Schedule

1. Navigate to Reports > New Search.  Choose Revenue Recognition Schedules >  click Create Saved Search button.

2. Under the Criteria tab, set the following Filter:
Posting Period is (select period e.g. Feb 2013).
Status is any of In Progress, Completed.
Journal: Period is (select period e.g. March 2013).

3. Under Results tab, set the following Fields:
Posting Period, Summary Type = Group
Amount, Summary Type = Sum
Journal: Period, Summary Type = Group.

The search result displays the revenue recognition journal entries posted in March 2013 that have Feb 2013 posting period  per revenue recognition schedule.
