The custom role has Full access to a custom record. When the user views a specific entry in the custom record, then hover the mouse over Create New icon, some options are missing. In the Administrator role, the links to create new Note, File, Email, Letter and PDF are available.
Note: In the Custom Record Type, Allow Attachments, Show Notes and Enable Mail Merge options are enabled.
The links Note, File, Email, Letter and PDF are permission driven. Below are the permissions needed for each link:
Note – Notes Tab
File – Documents and Files
Email – Mail Merge
Letter – Letter Messages
PDF – PDF Messages
The role also needs the Track Messages permission with at least Create level of access.
