Expose Buildable field of Work Order in a Saved Search

There are instances when users would want to track the all pending Work Orders and the total Quantity that needs to be built. Currently, the ability to use the Buildable field on a Transaction Saved Search is filed as Enhancement# 213771. As an alternate solution, users can create a formula field. Note that the Buildable Quantity = Quantity – Built. Also, Built is the same as Quantity Fulfilled / Received on a Work Order. Therefore, users can create this saved search to display the Buildable field for each work order:

 

1. Navigate to Transactions > Management > Saved Searches > New.

2. Select Transaction.

3. On the Criteria tab > Standard subtab, add the following fields:
 • Type = Work Order
 • Main Line = True

4. On the Results tab > Columns subtab, add the following fields:
 • Number
 • Item
 • Quantity
 • Quantity Fulfilled / Received (Custom Label = Built)
 • Formula(Numeric) = nvl({quantity},0)-nvl({quantityshiprecv},0) (Custom Label = Buildable)

5. Hit Preview or Save & Run.

Note: The saved search is applicable only if all components are committed to the order, otherwise, it will show the quantity requested to be built.
