To help address this issue the custom form for the custom record should be edited using the Administrator role:
1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types > Edit Custom Record.
2. Under Forms subtab > Edit Custom Record Form.
3. Fields subtab > check the box for the Same Row as Previous checkbox on the row after the Custom Date field and Click Save.
4. Change ID of the problematic field:
- Navigate to Customization > List, Records, & Fields > Record Types > Edit Custom Record
- Fields tab > Edit Custom Date Field > Change ID
- Add any value on the New ID field and Save
5. After this change users need to reorder fields on the Custom Record Form back to the old state.
