Enter Phone Numbers With Less Than Seven Digits

In some countries like Australia, phone numbers with less than seven digits are used. However, the standard Phone {phone} field in NetSuite records requires phone numbers with seven digits or more. The error below shows up if a user enters a six-digit number or less in the Phone field:

As a workaround (also found in Enhancement 136407), users may:

1. Add space(s) within the phone number, e.g. 123 456

2. Create a custom field of Number or Free-Form Text type as a replacement for the standard Phone field. See Creating a Custom Field.
