This article describes how to resolve the notice "This record already exists" which is returned after clicking the Save button during creation of new Email Template. This notice appears although the Email Template with this name is not listed as one of the Email Templates under Documents > Templates > E-mail Templates.
The reason is that the Email Template with same name has been inactivated. To correct this navigate to Documents > Templates > E-mail Templates > check Show Inactive checkbox and then uncheck Inactive box next to the appropriate Email Template > confirm performed changes by using Submit button.
