Remove Backorder Quantity On Item Records

The back order quantity is driven by sales order transactions. If an item there is still pending fulfillment but has no available quantity yet, it will add to its back order quantity. To remove back order quantity you need to find the sales order where the back ordered item is recorded and then close it if you will not fulfill it anymore. You can customize the Sales Back Order report for that.

To customize the report:

1. Navigate to Reports > Order Management > Sales Back Order Report > Customize
2. Under the Filter section:

   • Open the 'Item Type' folder
   • Select 'Name' to add it to the filters
   • In the Filter enter the name of the item
   • Click Done

4. Preview

To close the order, simply click the 'Close' on the transaction.
