Prevent "Pending PayPal Authorization" Status due to Duplicate Sales Orders


When a customer pays via the PayPal button then cancelled for somereason and decided to re-order, there are instances where duplicate SalesOrders area created. This results to a Pending PayPal Authorization statuson the order.

Follow the steps below to prevent duplicate orders with 'PendingPaypal Authorization' status:

1. Navigate to Setup > Accounting > PayPal Accounts
2. Edit the PayPal Account use for receiving the payments. 
3. Under the Account Basics Section, put a tick mark on the Use ExpressCheckout check box.
