Setting a default program for the mailto link in windows 7

In order to change the default mailto link that NetSuite will open when clicking on an email address, you will have to change the default settings in your windows control center. The steps below are specifically for windows 7.
  1. Open the windows 7 control panel.
  2. Click on Programs
  3. Click on 'Make a file type always open in a specific program' (the second option below the 'Default Programs' heading)
  4. Select the 'MAILTO' Protocol.
  5. Click on 'Change program...'
  6. Select the program that should open when you click on an email address in a web-browser.
  7. Click OK.

This will allow you to change how a mailto link will operate within NetSuite.
