Unable to Save Negative Value on Inventory Adjustments.


NetSuite prompts "Notice: Lines cannot have a negative unit cost." whenever users enter a negative value on Inventory Adjustments. Prior to 2010.1 version, users may save a negative value on Inventory Adjustments but this has been changed due to valuation issues.

    This error was caused by a negative "Average Cost" on one or more of our upload items.

    To correct this, I created a report of our inventory which listed the average cost of all items and exported it. In excel, I filtered the list to identify the troublemakers (value below zero). Once those were manually fixed. The import worked correctly.
