Roles with Subsidiary Restrictions > Campaigns are Sent to Recipients Outside the Subsidiary of the User who Created the Group and Campaign

For a role with Subsidiary Restriction: When the user of this role creates a Saved Search and Dynamic Group, Contacts/Customer records outside the user's assigned Subsidiary is not included in the list.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Log in using a custom Role with Subsidiary Restriction.

2. Create a Contacts/Customer Saved Search.

Note: The user does not see the Contacts/Customer under other Subsidiaries.

3. Use the Contacts/Customer Saved Search in creating a Dynamic Group.

4. Create a Campaign and use the Dynamic Group from Step # 3.

Actual Result: The Campaign is sent out to Contacts/Customer outside the Subsidiary of the user who sent out the campaign.

Expected Result: For the campaign  to be sent only to those Contacts/Customer in the Saved Search results or Dynamic Group.

Solution:

Marketing Campaigns do not respect the Subsidiary of the user role/ employee who created the Group and Campaign.

It is logged as an Enhancement #174731 OneWorld > Marketing > Email Campaigns > Emails are sent to recipients outside of the subsidiary of the user who created the group and campaign.

Alternate Solutions:

1. Edit the Contacts/Customer Saved Search and include the Criteria :

Subsidiary = *specify the subsidiary

2. Use Sales Campaigns instead of Marketing Campaign, because it follows Roles Restrictions.

Note: Sales Reps can only send Sales Campaigns to customers and contacts that meet the Restrictions defined by the Role they are assigned. If a Sales Rep is restricted to the Customers assigned to themselves and their subordinates, the rep can only send Sales Campaigns to those customers.
