Inactive categories (Department / Class / Location) are still showing in Financial Reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.)

Scenario:

·        Navigateto Setup > Company > Departments / Classes / Locations

·        Setone record to inactive

·        Navigateto Reports > Financial > choose any report (i.e. Balance Sheet)

·        InactiveDepartment / Class / Location is still showing in the report

 

Findings:

·        Inactive categories (Departments / Classes /Locations, Subsidiaries) areavailable in reports to provide historical reporting and to avoidunbalanced totals

 

Solution:

1.       Customizethe Financial Report

2.       Addthe Inactive from the Filters tab > Financial folder > Department/ Class / Location sub folder

3.       Setvalue to False

4.       Renamethe report

5.       HitPreview or Save
