Create a Report that lists Item Group Components following Item Record Sequence

When creating an item search and include Member Item in the Results tab, the system automatically sorts the components alphabetically in ascending or descending order

Sorting it based on how the members appear in the item record is not yet available and the best way to generate a list for an item will be to go to the Item Group record and highlight the members in the Components tab.  Once highlighted, copy – paste to Microsoft Excel and users will be given two options – keep the source formatting or match the destination formatting.  Choose the latter one to have a format of an exported saved search.
