Syncing Emails with Attachments Does Not Attach The Files to Records in NetSuite

Whensyncing emails with attachments to NetSuite, the message will sync however theattachment does not get uploaded to the records in NetSuite.

 

This occurs when Folder Restrictions are used onthe OutlookAttachments Received and OutlookAttachments Sent folders in the FileCabinet.

 

Toconfirm whether restrictions are in place, go to the File Cabinet and clickEdit next to the Outlook Attachments Received folder.

 

Thefollowing settings can prevent access to these folders. To allow a user toattach files to records, ensure that the user is not restricted by any of thefollowing settings:

 

  • Restrict by Class - Select a class if you want to restrict the documents and images in this folder by class. Only members of this class can view the documents and images in this folder.
  • Restrict by Department - Select a department if you want to restrict the documents and images in this folder by department. Only members of this department can view the documents and images in this folder.
  • Restrict by Location - Select a location if you want to restrict the documents and images in this folder by location. Only members of this location can view the documents and images in this folder.
  • Restrict by Group - Select a group if you want to restrict this folder by group. Only members of this group can view the documents and images in this folder.

  • Private - Check this box if you want the documents and images in this folder to be seen only by you. This prevents anyone else access to this folder.
