Image

To send an email using different templates via workflow (e.g. from a customer record, a transaction record, a contact record)To set the default template – e.g. by user.

Here is an example of the solution (the field names and the values are for this example only):1)	Create new custom list – Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Lists > New-	enter name = Template list-	value = Template 1-	value = Template 2-	click Save2)	Create new Entity field – Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Entity Fields > New-	enter name = Default template-	Type = List/Record-	List/Record = Template list-	Applies To = Employee-	Display > Subtab = Main-	click Save3)	Create new email templates – Document > Templates > Email Templates > New-	enter name = Template 1-	edit the content-	click Save4)	Create new email templates – Document > Templates > Email Templates > New-	enter name = Template 2-	edit the content-	click Save5)	Create new workflow – Customization > Scripting > Workflows > New-	enter name = Send mails-	Record Type = Transaction-	Sub Types = Sales Order, Purchase Order,.....-	On Create = T-	On Update = T-	click Save-	create new state-	enter name = Sending6)	Create new action-	Trigger On = After Record Submit-	set Sender, Recipient-	set Content > Use Template > select Template 1-	set Condition –o	Record = User o	Field = Default templateo	Selection = Template 1o	click Save-	click Save7)	create new action-	Trigger On = After Record Submit-	set Sender, Recipient-	set Content > Use Template > select Template 2-	set Condition –o	Record = User o	Field = Default templateo	Selection = Template 2o	click Save-	click Save
