Intelligent Mail Package Barcode (IMpb) is a new barcode format designed by USPS for all commercial and online consumers. All FedEx SmartPost packages must adhere to IMpb specifications effective June 3, 2013.
To verify if shipping labels generated in NetSuite are IMpb compliant, users may print a shipping label for a sales order that uses a SmartPost shipping item (i.e. FedEx SmartPost parcel select). Take note of these changes:
1. Tracking numbers should start with 92.
2. Users will see this code right above the bar code - USPS TRACKING # e-VS.
