Add Sales Order Transaction Date to the Invoice

When printing Invoices, the Date field shows the date when the Invoice was created. If a user needs to show the Sales Order creation date of the Invoice, a custom field must be created first. Please follow the steps below. 

1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Transaction Body Fields > New
2. Enter a Label (ie. Sales Order Date)
3. Type = Date > uncheck Store Value.
4. Applies To > check Sales.

Select either of the following:

Validation & Defaulting

  • check Formula and enter {createdfrom.trandate} in the Default Value field. 


Sourcing & Filtering 

  • Source List > Created From
  • Source From > Date

7. Click Save.

8. Add the field created to the printed form.
