Notifications for Duplicate Records are not Displayed when Logged In using a Custom Role

Consider the following scenario:


1.
In Setup > Company > Duplicate Detection, Show Duplicate Warning Popup on Records = True
2. Fields to Match On to detect duplicates are properly set

3. When Administrators create a record that has duplicate, the first level notification for duplicate records appears 

4. When Administrators save the record with duplicate, the warning pop up for duplicate records appears

 

 

Users with Custom Roles cannot see these notifications due to lack of permission. To give these roles the necessary permission, follow the steps below:

 

1. As an Administrator, navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.
2. Edit the Custom Role.
3. In the Permissions tab > Lists subtab, add Duplicate Record Management permission and set the Level = View.

4. Click Save.
